Welcome to Stansted Park
A great day for all the family - “So much to
see and imagine!”
Stansted Park is set in 1800 acres of ancient beech forest on the borders of Hampshire and Sussex. In 1983 the 10th Earl of Bessborough gave Stansted Park, his family home, to the public.
The forest is enjoyed by thousands of visitors each year and managed to preserve wildlife habitats. The private chapel, splendid mansion rooms and the fully furnished servants' quarters below stairs are open to visitors from Easter to September. School visits are always very welcome.
The historic house and grounds are the ideal setting for weddings and corporate events all year round. A popular location for photographers and artists, the venue offers a unique atmosphere and can be yours for a day!
The grounds host many different events throughout the year, including the Garden Show, the Stansted Proms, Open-air Theatre, and Cricket - which has been played on the lawns here since the 1740s.
