Hi, my name is Graham Mew the proprietor and producer of Wedding Videos/DVDs at competitive prices.
LOCATION We, my wife and I that is, are based in North Waltham RG25 2BP a village in the heart of the North Hampshire countryside just six miles south of Basingstoke close to junction 7 of the M3 motorway.
CONSIDERATIONS Anyone with a video camera can call themselves a wedding videographer. You may know someone who has offered to record the day for you, but there is a lot more to making a video than just pointing the camera. Ask yourself - are they competent with the equipment? Will the recording have the flow and continuity of a professional production? Have they enough batteries and tapes to last the whole day? What plans have they for the capture of good sound? There is no point in capturing the vision if you cannot hear what is said. Do they carry back-up equipment? Are they insured for public liability just in case a mishap occurs? Will you be dealing with the same person who will be in attendance on the day and who also completes the production? The failings of an amateur recording will not be apparent until after the event, and it will then be impossible to go back to recapture some of the most important moments of your life.
QUALIFICATIONS A good grounding in videography is knowledge in basic art and photography. This I gained in my early days by joining the camera club which assembled after school, advancing my skills and experience in seeing a good shot and understanding composition and depth of field. Developing the film, contact printing and enlarging. I pursued this interest as a hobby and gained various awards in competitions. It was some time later my interest turned to the moving medium of film and video. I have been producing videos for over fourteen years, commencing with various awards in amateur competitions, together with various productions accepted and transmitted by Meridian TV. Suppliers of special interest videos to the general public and Devon County Council, after which I later gained the professional qualifications of the Certificate in Wedding Videofilm Making at the London School of Photography, A Qualified Member of the Association of Professional Videomakers, also A Master Member of the Institute of Videography.
Filming and editing a wedding properly is a very demanding task! So, select your wedding videographer carefully, for you won’t get a second chance to capture that special day.
