I believe that weddings are about having a great day, celebrating the union of two people. What I don't believe in is that formal wedding pictures should take over an hour to complete. Where's the celebration in that? Formal shots are fantastic, but these shouldn't take an eternity to complete. Ultimately, its the shots taken candidly over the course of the day that you will cherish forever. These photos encapsulate the day recording how it actually happened. That's why I believe that wedding photojournalism is the most endearing style and the one that everyone should invest in. The formals then lend to the importance, dignity and class of the event as a whole.
As an exclusively digital photographer I can say there is no right way...digital or film. There is just the right photographer. With personality, understanding and dedication I will deliver to you the best that I possibly can."

You only need to look at Rob's website to see what a talent he is. I will never be able to put into words how thrilled we are with our wedding photo's. I am still in a dilemma about how to choose which ones I like the most for our album! I think booking a photographer is one of the most difficult things to do when organising a wedding as there is such a choice.....you don't need to look any further than Shooting Hip!! Rob sees things that the naked eye doesn't...you will never get bored of looking at the photographs...they capture the feel of your special day to a tee!! BOOK HIM NOW PLEASE!!

I had a very clear idea of how I wanted my wedding photos to look and the further through the endless list of photographers promising me the world I got, the more I began to despair.
When I first emailed Rob I hit him with a barrage of “I want this…..” and “I don’t want that….” and “Come up with something fabulous!” He emailed me his ideas and I immediately cancelled all other photographic appointments – he’d taken on board all my ‘demands’ and I was excited by his suggestions. He was clearly the photographer I had been searching for!
During the build up to the wedding Rob endured endless emails from me and effortlessly accommodated additional requests. On the day he was the ultimate professional; a calming influence when it was needed most and melted into the background when appropriate. Even the most dedicated photo-phobics were left feeling that having their picture taken had been a joy instead of something to be feared and dreaded.
It is rare that someone exceeds my expectations in the massive way that Rob has with the pictures he took of my wedding - they are beautiful, simple and stylish and have taken my breath away. I cannot recommend him enough.
